Monthly Scripture Memorization
The students must memorize this passage by the end of the month.
December
Isaiah 9:6 & 7 KJV
6 For unto us achild is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
November
Philippians 3:12-14
12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.
13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,
14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
October
Proverbs 3:5-8
5Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
8It shall be health to they navel, and marrow to thy bones.
September
Psalms 119:9-11
9Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.

Field Trips
Here at Jubilee, we enjoy keeping students of all age levels busy learning, not just in the building. We enjoy taking multiple field trips in a year.
Snake River Farms Fossil Site
Snake River Farms, owned by the Barthel family, was one of our field trip destinations for the older two learning centers, in May of 2021.
“Snake River Farm is located in the Anoka Sand Plain, which was created by sand deposits of receding glaciers. The swampy area trapped many Bison Antiquus in one area, and it’s believed they became stuck in the quicksand. Over time around 10 feet of peat developed on top of the sand.” ~Leuthard, P. “Bison Bones Found At Snake River Farm.” Patriot News, June 28, 2019, https://patriotnewsmn.com/news/bison-bones-found-at-snake-river-farm.
Scientists have been there two years now for a week during the month of May, doing exploratory digging. They have found many bones.
“Along with the dig, which was held May 6-10, the group held an educational day on the eighth, which over 300 homeschooled students from all over the area attended. Each was given a bone to bring home with them. The Barthels brought the groups back and forth from the dig with four wagons, three pulled by tractors and one by a team of horses.” ~Leuthard, P. “Bison Bones Found At Snake River Farm.” Patriot News, June 28, 2019, https://patriotnewsmn.com/news/bison-bones-found-at-snake-river-farm.
