Monthly Scripture Memorization

The students must memorize this passage by the end of the month.

1 Thessalonians 5:14-18

14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

16 Rejoice evermore.

17 Pray without ceasing.

18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Romans 8:25, 38, 39

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to seperate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Perfect Ten

By Kathie Hill

This month is a little different than a scripture passage. This is a song about the Ten Commandments.

Number one, we’ve just begun, God should be first in your life

(Matthew 6:33)

Number two’s the idol rule, those graven images aren’t right

(Romans 1:23)

Number three God’s name should be never spoken in jest.

(Deuteronomy 5:11)

Number four the Sabbath’s for our worship and for rest

(Isaiah 58:13)

Number five we all should strive to honor father and mother

(Ephesians 6:1-3)

Number six don’t get your kicks from killing one another

(Matthew 5:21-26)

Number seven life is Heaven when your’re true to your mate

(Romans 7:2)

Number eight don’t steal or break these rules for goodness sake

(1Cor. 6:9, 10)

Number nine don’t be the kind who goes around telling lies

(Proverbs 12:22)

Number ten don’t covet when you see your neighbor’s house, or wife

(Romans 7:7)

That’s the list that God insists we stay away from these sins,

That is why we memorize commandments one through ten!

The Perfect Ten, The Perfect Ten,

They’re just as good as they were way back when

The Perfect Ten, The Perfect Ten, let’s say them once again…

Luke 2:8-11

8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

1 Chronicles 16: 8-12

8 Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the people.

9 Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto Him, talk ye of all His wondrous works.

10 Glory ye in His holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lod.

11 Seek the Lord and His strengths, seek His face continually.

12 Remember His marvellous works that He hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth;

Psalm 34:5-8

5 They look unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Psalm 34:1-4

1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name togehter.

4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Field Trips

Here at Jubilee, we enjoy keeping students of all age levels busy learning, not just in the building. We enjoy taking multiple field trips in a year.

Snake River Farms Fossil Site

Snake River Farms, owned by the Barthel family, was one of our field trip destinations for the older two learning centers, in May of 2021.

“Snake River Farm is located in the Anoka Sand Plain, which was created by sand deposits of receding glaciers. The swampy area trapped many Bison Antiquus in one area, and it’s believed they became stuck in the quicksand. Over time around 10 feet of peat developed on top of the sand.” ~Leuthard, P. “Bison Bones Found At Snake River Farm.” Patriot News, June 28, 2019,

Scientists have been there two years now for a week during the month of May, doing exploratory digging. They have found many bones.

“Along with the dig, which was held May 6-10, the group held an educational day on the eighth, which over 300 homeschooled students from all over the area attended. Each was given a bone to bring home with them. The Barthels brought the groups back and forth from the dig with four wagons, three pulled by tractors and one by a team of horses.” ~Leuthard, P. “Bison Bones Found At Snake River Farm.” Patriot News, June 28, 2019,
